Update on work from FBI+A and our individual practice

FBI+A’s collective work which started in  2018 has vitally enriched and informed our individual arts practices. FBI+A  is where we take risks and try new ideas in areas we may not venture into separately. Projects by FBI+A so far are:

We are currently working on a new project in Collaboration with Irish artists for May 2021 and researching our next film  project Operation Edna together

Danielle Imara and O.Pen Be are founders and facilitators of Be-Coming Tree, a durational live art eco-initiative. The quarterly events feature live artists worldwide simultaneously interacting with a local tree for one hour. Their actions are live streamed via a shared Zoom webinar, presented to atttendees in gallery view. Each ticket includes a donation to plant a rainforest tree. https://www.facebook.com/becomingtree

Deej Fabyc is now the director of  Live-art.ie at Milford House in Tipperary Ireland and subject to the Pandemic divides her time between London and rural Ireland. They set up this organisation to foster residencies and research into Live Art, Film and hybrid practice.

Sarah Andrew has established Come Hell or High Water with Anne Bean and Hayley Newman for the year of 2020 on the Thames bank in London. Sarah in also collaborating with Ane Bean on African Incidentalism ‘the context is half the work’* a project between Zambia and the UK

Black people aged 17 to 70 in the UK and US discuss the 2020 BLM protests via Zoom alongside original footage of protests and Harlem streetlife. Live Performance

Live streamed solo experimental performance  ‘Touch Outlaws’ (picture Above) as part of  Open Online theatre  Festival.  Piece based on concern over the psychotic effects of demonization, sanitisation and criticism of touch during pandemic .

Be- coming Tree Live art global eco-initiative . Online performances in 3 seasonal internationally synchronous events:  ‘Searching for Roots; ‘Clean touch’ and ‘Body’s lived architecture’
